Text Box: Horizon Hobbies and others advised against replacing the PCM10X NICAD batteries (or NIMH) with a LI Poly pack battery mentioning that a fully charged LI Poly battery is over 12 VDC. A new NiCad battery pack for the PCM10X costs $74.00. A LI Poly battery is about $15.00. I bought 3 of them and replaced all three PCM10X batteries with these. So far, no problems. There was a small mention of this in the latest AMA Magazine. I use the Triton charger to charge these.
