Buzzard Droppings February 2010

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 2nd annual Freeze-In.  I counted 26 members attending and we had at least 2 visitors.

Amazingly enough, the weather was perfect (for January) and we had models on every table. Some members put their models away to make room so others could setup their models.

We had a patio heater again this year,  It wasn’t used much, but sure felt good to warm up the fingers after tuning up an engine and flying.

Together, we consumed 5 sheet pizzas that Sandy brought from Sahara Pizza in Duvall.  There were a few pieces left at the end of the event, but we all had plenty.

As far  as I know, we had no accidents and no incidents.  It seemed like we had planes in

the air during most of the 3-hour event.

Sandy had a few of the patches for 2010 available and we kept tabs on who was there.  If your name was on the signup sheet, you will receive the coveted Freeze-In patch for 2010 at our February 2 meeting.

If this event remains a popular one, we will likely design a new patch that will span several years.  Something with a circle in the center and arc years surrounding it.  Maybe a snowman with snowballs surrounding him with the years written on them.

Feel free to let me and/or the club officers know of any suggestions you have to make
this an even more successful event!
