open the shed and know where the first aid kit is and it's contents), have a cell phone with you, bring water or something to drink to re-hydrate, and a good hat.

We had a situation where a member had his plane kick off a propeller and stab him in the arm. Some stitches were required and he was able to get attention on his own. I guess we should always assume the worst and be prepared for it.

    We have another auction coming up at the August meeting. Steve Conradi has donated (3) .40 engines, an unassembled Velox ARF, a Road Runner Kit, and some other goodies. We appreciate him thinking of the Club and the auction.

 The July program will be a Jet engine presentation. I'm excited that I’ll be there to see that.

I briefly visited the Fun Fly with my now brother-in-law and it looked like a good turn out. I noticed

President Chet Blake recapped the success of the first 2009 Open House which was Saturday, May 23^rd.  There was a good turnout.  Many club members were present as well as a number of passersby who were entertained.  Ron Rueter was spectacular grilling hamburgers.  Thank you Ron!

Chet asked for guests and visitors to identify themselves.  Jeff Terry was present.  He admitted to flying with Dick Ovrid years ago.  Ray Reinhold was also new amongst our gathering.  It is always nice to see, and welcome, guests and visitors.

Chet asked for a motion to accept the (April) minutes as presented in the May newsletter.  (As there were no May meeting minutes due to the meeting being canceled.)  A motion to accept was made, seconded, and voted on.  The minutes were accepted.

some visitors and once again, that speaks volumes about our - little out of the way—Club. Keep up the great work!
