Well, as promised, we held the first ever Freeze-In hosted by Ron Swift.

I think it was a great success. This was a long sought after idea that Ron managed to make materialize.

Freeze-In as my thermometer showed an even 28 degrees when I got to the field.

I think by the time I took a picture, it had “warmed up” to a balmy 30 degrees and the fog was H E A V Y, the virtual pea soup. A couple of pilots went up early, even before the start time of 11:00

Text Box: Meeting Minutes from January 9,  2009 — Vaughan Houger

The meeting was called to order by President Chet Blake at 18:30:12 (twelve seconds late!). 

Chet introduced the club officers present:  Ron Rueter - Vice President; Rick Hanners - Treasurer; Vince Bell - Safety Officer.  Also introduced wee Ron Swift - Newsletter editor and Webmaster, and Jay Bell -Field Manager.

Chet reported that he and Vince flew at the field while snow was on the ground and Chet’s homemade skis worked great – the field is officially broken in for 2009.

Rick Hanners and Chet Blake presented Children’s Hospital with our 2008 donation.

Al Faith moved that the minutes
