Buzzard Droppings December 2008

Hello Buzzards,

Well, as much as I hate to give in, I guess the fair sunny flying days are going to become far and few for a while. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean the end of flying for the winter…

Ron Swift mentioned a ‘Freeze In’ (Fly in) day to be announced in the anticipation of snow on one of

the future weekends or at least a very cold one. I’m getting ready to make a set of skis for either my Kaos or Avistar. If you like to do the homemade things like I do, a piece of 2x4 cut (sideways) into an exaggerated shape of the skis can be the form to press and hold the water soaked light ply until it dries.

President Chet Blake called the monthly Barnyard Buzzard Model Airplane Club (BBMAC) meeting to order on November 4, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.  There were about 15 members present.  We held our meeting at Alfy’s Pizza in Monroe, but outside the private rooms we normally use.  The next meeting will be on Tuesday December 2, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. at

Alfy’s Pizza in Monroe.

Note the new time for December 6:30 P.M. due to Alfy’s reducing its business hours.

Chet asked for visitors or guests to identify themselves.  No visitor was present, but Doug Hoff, one of the founding fathers, was present.
