will fuse. My doctor even has told me I couldn’t even work on my planes because it would put undo stress on my neck.

I have seen every NASCAR race at least twice.  And every hunting and fishing show at least three times.

Anyways, a couple of weeks before I learned that my neck was broken, Tom Pellerin  was coming in for a landing with his Yak, (maybe a little slow for a landing for a plane that size) and tore his wings off on runway 2. Something most of us have all done one time or another. Well, a week later Tom called me and told me he bought a new airplane. He called it a virtual lumber yard. The kit came in two big boxes chocked full of wood. Tom said it also most felt like he had gone to Home Depot and loaded up his whole truck with 2X4’s. Well, it turns out that Tom bought a 12’ Wing span Telemaster. I asked Tom if this plane would be big enough to fly his daughter, Jamie, around in. As I understand it Tom brought this monster out to the field last Saturday, July 21, along with his new

Spectrum 7 radio. Tom said he was a little nervous about fly it, so he asked Vince Bell if he would do the honors of flying the first flight. Knowing Vince, he did not even hesitate. From what I understand Toms plane lumbered down the runway and took off in less that 20’, lumbered into to the air, and lumbered around the field, then came in for flawless landing. Vince later told me it was almost like flying a real airplane. Tom has since been out to the field a couple times getting used to flying his virtual lumberyard. Don’t worry guys, Tom’s airplane is way under the 50lbs. limit that we have at our field.

Anyways guys, August 4th  will be our 3rd Open House. I’ll be cooking for that event. Also, very important—our second fun fly will be Aug 5th.  Dottie Turner will be cooking for that event. Then Tuesday, August 7th will be our club meeting. I will be serving dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. for you late comers. It will be good to see all you guys again.

Sincerely, Fred
