Committee Reports

Alternate Field Location Committee – Fred had previously talked to Harley (the landowner at Cherry Valley) and asked him to come to the field and observe the operations, members and noise levels that the hobby presents. Harley’s had some personal business to take care of, and he has a concern about hunting in the area and how the Models might affect that.

Repeated from Last Month’s meeting… Ray Gilky has reported that Dale indicated that a sale or other use of the property is pending for a possible RV park. Although Dale doesn’t know the time frame, he wants us to have a decent heads up to be looking for another location. He mentioned that he knows Mr. Remlinger (Remlinger Farms) well, and there might be property available through him near the Cascade Flying Club or other farmers he knows.

“Dale had a lot of good things to say about the Club and the way we respect and take care of his property”.

We should ALL be on the look out for possible future sites, it can only benefit the club to be prepared.

[I have recently talked to Dale and he reported the same information - nothing new, nothing changed. –Chet]

Brian Illston suggested checking with local realtors for possible land usage for a new field and the possibility of using the old Prison Farm.
