A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as posted in the monthly newsletter.

Fred asked for visitors and/or guests to identify themselves. Joe Simmons’ daughter Lauren was a guest along with other family members.

 

Officer’s Reports

 

President - Fred displayed the 5 Year Gold Leader Plaque from the AMA and applauded Ron, past Officers and members that helped the Buzzards achieve this milestone. There is a sweet 5 yr. Gold Leader patch available for every member. If you haven’t received yours, see Fred.

Fred asked for ideas and suggestions related to the club. Call him or email him with any ideas to 2005fhanquet@earthlink.net

Fred introduced the idea of a “Year Book” or photo directory of our members. Of course we need you present for a photo or 2.

 

Vice President - Brian Richardson announced that EVERY meeting will be a swap meet and the First Saturday of Every Month throughout the summer will be an OPEN HOUSE at the field. He also reminded everyone of the event dates:

July 1 – Open House

July 29 – Fun Fly

August 5 – Open House

Aug 19 – Combat

Sept 2 – Open House

Every event is also a swap meet.

Brian reported that the June Open House went well, more participation would be a good thing!

Please note that the Fun Fly date has been changed to July 29th.

Dave Kelly of RC Hobbies in Woodinville asked that his business banner be hung at open houses and events. In turn he will offer gifts or certificates for prizes at various events.

 

Secretary - Chet Blake reported 60 members including; 1 Honorary, 3 family and 2 junior.

A mowing list is available, the following dates are still open; July 14, Oct. 6, Oct 20 – 27.

You can find the mowing list has been posted on the BBMAC web site and posted on the shed door.

Please do your part, take a date to cut the field. As always, please try to have the field cut by Friday evening.

 

Treasurer – Rick Hanners reported a balance of $4537.88. The club is in good shape !

Rick has a check for the Children’s Hospital Guild for $1300 from the auction and donations. It was mentioned that it should be an “event” with photos and a write up.

 

Safety Officer – Vince Bell reported no safety issues brought to his attention and reminded to keep an eye out for what’s happening in the pits. Watch the lithium battery scenarios that we all read and hear about. Recently Rick Hanners emailed everyone with charging advise and 2 Lithium safety products called the Battery Bunker and the Lipo-Sack. The Lipo Sack is available at RC Hobbies in Woodinville.

To get to the right Cherry Valley Rd. you have to first drive into Duvall in King county.  Brain and I have mowed a landing strip approx. 40’ X 180’—>short take off and landing planes only!  Please come out and fly this new field and make as much noise as you can.
