minded everyone that a good “recent” charge is needed in the colder weather since batteries don’t provide the same level of service in the cooler winter weather. Also, it’s advised to do more than the usual battery checks with your field voltage meter. Randy thanked everyone again for their part in a safe flying season and keep up the great “safety attitude”!

 

Special Committee Reports

Alternate Field Location Committee Fred has talked to the landowner and asked him to come to the field and observe the operations, members and noise levels that the hobby presents. [ALSO….. this position is now open since Fred has take then role of Club President for 2006.]

 

Pilot training - Rick Hanners, everyone needing assistance is assigned an instructor and all is going well.

Ron is looking into an “intermediate” piloting class.

 

Sound Management - Efforts are on going and so far it seems that we’re staying around 93dB.

 

Field Improvements – Nothing is scheduled for the winter months.

New Business

Bob reported that Town and Country Tractor has a reduced service offer of $299 to have the new tractor serviced. It was motion and seconded to have the mower serviced.

 

Announcements

The meetings at the Library must be concluded and everything packed up by 8:50 each night. Please help with the clean up.

 

Ron announced that for $49 the Buzzards logo can be embroidered on your own item. $80 for a jacket purchased through him or Sandy.

It is a 8000 stitch for $49 on your own jacket or shirt. $10 for Tee shirts (transfer type print), front and back. $21 will get you a sweat shirt

with the BBMAC logo on the back.

 

Vaughn reported that advanced tickets for the Puyallup Fair Grounds can be bought on the web @ www.nwhobbyexpo.com , They are $6.75 each if mailed or you can arrange “will call” pick up.  The model expo is scheduled for Feb 3, 4 and 5, 2006.

 

Show and Tell

Jay Wellan brought a model AreoCat from www.modelaero.com using a brushless motor. He related that it’s really fast and fast responding, so he’s constantly wanting to push the envelope. It’s a true “bank and yank” model (aileron and elevator only). He’s anticipating a great time with it and eager to get the most out of it. Nice Job Jay and Good Luck with the “Rocket” speeds!
