Buzzard Droppings February 2006

(President’s Message continued from page 1)

bring them! Who knows, they might be something someone else will want to build. Also, feel free to bring the latest treasure you bought (maybe at the show in Puyallup), we’d like to see it. The whole idea behind the swap meet is to encourage you to enter your prize in the builders competition. I have also asked some of the club’s master builders to show their ticks of the trade.

(January Meeting Minutes continued from page 1)

A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as punblished in our December newsletter.

Fred asked everyone’s patience while he gets over the jitters of being the new President, but he’s up to the challenge and is looking forward to it.

Fred announced the program for the evening had gotten confused so we would enjoy 2 programs, old and new radios by Fred Hanquet and Vince Bell and Engine Myths and Magic by Ron Swift

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for Fred, please email or call him.

Chet reminded everyone that they the 2006 AMA registration is now required, ALSO, the Club dues will be coming up soon. Please take these seriously, BOTH are required to fly at the field.

Treasurer – Rick Hanners reported that he and Bob Martin went over the finances and reported the club finances to be in good shape at just over $2900 beginning the year. Per the vote by the membership last October, dues will remain at the present rates of $100 for new members, $60 for current members, $30 for family members and $15 for student members.

Safety Officer – Vince Bell reported that all reports have been good and we’ve enjoyed a great safety record at the field.
