(President’s Message continued from page 1)

Pizza dinner at Alfy’s Pizza this coming Tuesday, December 5 starting at 7:00 PM.  The club pays for the pizza and salad bar, as well as the non-alcoholic beverages. This includes any family and guests you bring as well.

We’ve had a good year, despite the recent weather, and we’ll continue to plan for the club’s future.  The second field seems to becoming more important based on my

Officers’ Report

President - Fred Hanquet welcomed everyone and introduced the other Club Officers.

Vice President - Brian Richardson

Secretary – Chet Blake

Treasurer – Rick Hanners

Field Safety Officer – Vince Bell was absent

Newsletter Editor and Webmaster – Ron Swift was absent

A motion requested by Fred was made and seconded to accept the minutes as published in the monthly newsletter. Motion passed.

Fred asked for visitors and/or guests to identify themselves. No visitors present.

Fred asked for ideas and suggestions related to the club. Call him or email him with any ideas 2005fhanquet@earthlink.net

Fred announced that the evening agenda will simply be an overview of the Flood and the effects on our field and conversations with our  landlord, Dale Reiner.

All 3 mowers were totally submerged under water and mud. The field had approximately 4 ft. of water. The shed had a water line of about 48” on the walls. All the tables were swept against the fence by the shed and the Potties were dumped on their sides and swept to the fence also.

The new tractor is at Town and Country getting serviced. The other 2 will either go to his place or Vince’s for flushing and rework.

Fred had the opportunity to talk to Dale Reiner (our landlord). Dale said that if there was the possibility of another field, we should go for it. Dale is in the process of buying the

house and property up front to make the total property more appealing. He may try to AG 10 the property (rezone the property as agricultural). Either way, he’s planning to sell it and making the moves to do so.

Also, the Nomination for Club Offices are open at this meeting, will be again during the December meeting where the elections will occur for 2007.  Nominations are also open for the Dave Weber Special Service Award.

Vice President - Brian Richardson announced that the events for the 2006 season have concluded (still!) He said again that all in all, it went ok, but would like to see more participation.

He’s enjoyed being the VP for 3 years.

Secretary - Chet Blake reported 64 members including; 1 Honorary, 3 family and 2 junior.  Chet thanked everyone who attended for making the meeting on such short notice and the extended date.

A letter was sent to Jim Clayton about the Club trainer and still no word has been received as of this date.

AMA dues are now due. Please keep this in mind, you CANNOT fly at our field NOR renew club membership without holding a 2007 AMA card after the first of the year.

Treasurer – Rick Hanners reported that the balance is $4356.56  We’re in good shape. There will be a repair bill for the “cleaning and flushing” of the new mower.

Safety Officer – Vince Bell was absent, but Fred thought everything was going well on the safety

conversation with Dale.  We’ll talk more about that later.

For now, have a Happy Holiday season and dress warm if you plan to fly during the winter months.  Be sure to enter the Builders Competition.  Might as well,

since it looks like we’ll have

a long building season.

See you on Tuesday,

Fred
