Rick has a check for the Children’s Hospital Guild for $1300 from the auction and donations. It was mentioned that it should be an “event” with photos and a write up. That should happen the week of July 24th.

Safety Officer – Vince Bell reported that everyone behaved and watched themselves at the new field location. Since there wasn’t a frequency board available, we had a brief safety meeting and Chet asked for a call out from everyone for their channel. No conflicts in frequency were present, everyone flew and had fun. Vince reminded everyone to watch the fence, we often get very close or actually hit it. At the new location, since it was a test, everyone minded the safety area that was imposed. Fred reminded everyone the importance of eye protection after he received a blade of grass in the eye while in the tall grass there. Vince also said to watch for planes on approach before calling out “Taxiing or Taking off”. Stop and look around, be aware of the people and planes around you.
