Builder’s Competition 2005-2006 Rules

· Entries can be made by any club member in good standing.

· Each model is considered an entry and will have a $10.00 fee.

· Payment along with the name of the model can be submitted to any board member or event judge.

· Event judges and ruling body will be comprised of 4 members. 

      These members are:

à Dave Bell

à Vince Bell

à Dick Ovrid

à Ray Gilkey

· Judges cannot judge their own plane.

· You must build the model yourself.

· Two main categories:

à ARF

à Stick build (plans or kits)

· You must beat someone to win (must have other entries in the category).

· You can finish the model you previously entered but didn’t complete.

· New models must have been started after the October club meeting.

· Two special awards voted on by the attendees of the May meeting:

à In the Bones (award to the best model started, but not finished)

à Members Choice Award

· Prizes will be club checks to the winners.

· You must have fun!

· Questions should be directed to the judges.

Text Box: Man, this month has flown by. My Mother always said “when you get older time flies”, now I know what she meant.
I hope that everyone is reading the safety column in MA. There is good stuff in Dave Gee’s columns. Also in the March issue of MA is the second article by Donald Brooks, starts on page 47, this should be mandatory reading. It has to do with attitude as I alluded to last month.
Members having guests visiting the field, need to make sure that your guest understands that they and especially their kids stay out of the pit area. (Operation Rule #6)
This month I have included the operational section of the club rules, this will be a good time to review them.   
Fly safe, have fun and keep the body parts out of the Prop.

FIELD AND SAFETY RULES of the
BARNYARD BUZZARDS MODEL AIRPLANE CLUB 
Any full club member shall have the authority to enforce the rules herein.
If a member deliberately refuses to comply with a specific safety rule, the facts should be reported to any club officer. The incident shall then
