Building my Extra 300 is going a little slow and I’m feeling pressured. But, I work well under pressure.

Also, May 2 will be our first meeting of the year at our flying field.

(April Meeting Minutes continued from page 1)

for the meetings. There was a lot of good eats being ordered and our favorite Saturday morning waitress, Annette, was on the job. Great turn out, good friends, good food and service!

The Program for the evening was building techniques and a swap shop.

Our May through September meetings will be at our flying field. (Please make a note of this) The May meeting will also be the judging for the Builder’s Contest, the date is May 2nd, 7:00 PM

Fred asked for visitors and/or guests to identify themselves. Mr. Jim Otsbey was visiting and ended up joining the club. Welcome Jim!

A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as posted in the monthly newsletter.

Fred asked for ideas and suggestions related to the club. Call him or email him with any ideas. He mentioned that his correct email address is 2005fhanquet@earthlink.net

 

Vice President - Brian Richardson announced that every meeting will be a swap meet and the First Saturday of Every Month throughout the summer will be an OPEN HOUSE at the field. He also reminded everyone of the Event dates:

Builder’s Competition – 10/05 thru 5/2/06. The judging will be at this meeting at the field.  We currently have 14 entries.

May 2nd - 2nd Field meeting of the year, and the judging of the building competition.

June 3rd - 1st Open House
      July 1st - 2nd Open House

August 5th - 3rd Open House

August 19th - Combat

Sept 2nd - 4th Open House

Oct 7th - Fun Fly.

Entries are still welcome to the Builder’s Contest and entries are $10 ea. You do not have to bring your plans, ARF or kit to the meeting.  Models are to be built by the member submitting the fee.

 

Secretary - Chet Blake reported 54 members including: 1 Honorary, 1 family and 1 junior.

Chet reminded everyone that the 2006 AMA registration is now required, ALSO, the Club dues are due NOW. Please take these seriously, BOTH are required to fly at the field.

A mowing list is available, we still need mowers for the following dates – 4/7, 5/19, 5/26, 6/2, 6/16, 7/28, 8/11, 10/6, 10/20 and 10/27. Please do your part, take a date to cut the field. As always, please try to have the field cut by Friday evening.

 

Treasurer – Rick Hanners reported a balance of $4732.52. Charter dues and Land owner insurance have been sent to the AMA, total of $90.00.

 

Dues will remain at the present rates of $100 for new members and $60 for renewing members.

 

Safety Officer – Vince Bell reported no safety issues brought to his attention and reminded everyone to obey the AMA and club safety rules, keep a good attitude and watch out for each other.
