contest, Doug rolled the plane to drop the egg. The egg dropped from the cup, only to have the streamer get caught on the antenna pin on the tail fin. He flew a few laps with the egg trailing and pulling the tail earthward drastically. A site to behold and test of flying skills with every bit of down elevator and interesting throttle control to try to keep the craft level. As a bonus to the “extreme” flying, the egg was finally forced free by radical control movements and the egg hit the target…….. WAY COOL Doug !

Glow or Gas models are balanced with an empty fuel tank. This will ensure a level and predictable flight as your fuel is depleted.

Electric models are balanced with the All Up Weight, which means they are balanced with the battery installed.

As a general comment of control surfaces. Although our new ‘puter radios have trim, end point adjustments and all the bells and whistles, it is in the modelers’ best interest to use the mechanical limits of the control surface horns or servo arms to set their max travel and center point. Stray signals can cause the servos to go to the max and reject your radios’ end point settings.

At least if the mechanical max and center is used, if an interference, signal jam or other situation arises, the controls just might be more manageable “if” control is regained.

The raffle revealed our Coffee Host for the May meeting…….. CONGRATULATIONS Tim Reeves!
