Buzzard Droppings July 2005

(President’s Message continued from page 1)

well. Sandy cooked up the hots and hamburgs. The grill area was the most popular, since it was warm and dry. Thank you Sandy for the great job.

Speaking of Sandy, Ron and Sandy tied the knot on Saturday, June 25…

Don’t forget about our 1st Fun Fly Saturday,  July 23 from 10—3.

I was able to give Joe Goffin the Special Service Trophy and a plaque for the award we gave him last February. He seemed plenty happy to receive these. I’ll have newer photos to share later.

See you at the flying field.

Ron

(June Meeting Minutes continued from page 1)

The subject of future Builder’s Contest and Judging came up. It was tabled until that date gets closer.

Secretary - Chet Blake reported 61 members including; 1 Honorary, 3 family and 1 junior.

There are still a few weeks open for the mowing list. Contact Chet if you are interested in taking a week. He can be reached at (425) 673-9369 or chetblake@comcast.net.

If the field is mowed regularly, it will certainly be the best preventive measure we can take to keep the new mower running great for a longtime.

If gas is needed, keep the receipt and give to Bob Martin for reimbursement.

Treasurer - Bob Martin reported the finances were in descent shape and were good for this time of the year.

Safety Officer – Randy Turner introduced Mr. Kevin Miller and reviewed the club rules with him.

Committee Reports

Alternate Field Location Committee - still being formed and open to volunteers

Pilot training - Rick Hanners, everyone needing assistance is assigned an instructor and all is going well.

Sound Management - Efforts are on

going and so far it seems that we’re staying around 93 dB.

Field Improvements – Fred reported the new lady’s Port-a-Potty was delivered.

Old Business

No old business to discuss.

New Business

Dick Ovrid was asked about making 1 decent mower out of 2, using required parts from newer blown-up Craftsman mower. Efforts are on going and shouldn’t be a problem
