Buzzard Droppings January 2005

Happy New Year!

We had quite a big turnout for our December meeting and it was a good time for many. This year it seemed that we were still short on space, but we had heat, light, and plenty to eat and drink. This is an improvement over last year.

I called Joe Goffin after our club  meeting and mentioned that he was voted the recipient of the Dave Weber Special Service Award.  He was surprised and thrilled to have won the award. He thanked everyone for their efforts in making the field as good as it is. We all hope Joe is back on his feet soon!

News Bits:

· The builder’s Competition has started join in the fun!

· Event calendar to be proposed at our January meeting.

· Our coffee host program begins… Coffee and soft drinks will be available at our meeting along with some goodies!

officer

positions,

each of us

appreciated

the vote of

confidence.

The monthly business meeting of the Barnyard Buzzard’s Model Airplane Club was called to order by President, Ron Swift at Alfy’s Pizza in Monroe at 7:30PM. Pizza had been ordered early and attending members were already enjoying the eats.  Ron welcomed everyone to our meeting and introduced the club’s attending officers and asked if there were any visitors.

Each member introduced their family

members and visitors to our club members.

Ron asked for a motion to approve the November meeting minutes as written and published in the monthly newsletter. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as published. The Motion passed.
