(that happens to everyone!)

If you see a new face at our field, make sure to introduce yourself. There are some newer members and some returning members that will be at the field.

We have newsletters in the plastic mailbox at the fence for visitors and others that might be interested in the club.

Our annual Swap Meet is planned for May 7 from 10:00—3:00 PM. Last year, every parking place was taken. Dale mentioned we can park next to his barn, if we have a lot of participation. The fence will be open for that purpose. AMA members with a current membership card can fly at the field that day. We will have food and beverages available for reasonable costs.

Our Open House Event is June 11 from

Volunteers, please contact any of the board members if you can help out!

The mowing list was passed around for this year. We have 31 weeks listed (April 1st  thru Oct.28th) and 17 members took weeks. The weeks are listed as weekends (Fridays), please try to have the field mowed by Friday of your week.

If the field is mowed regularly, it should take about 1 ½ - 2 hours to complete the entire field, pit and parking area. If the field need mowing, please mow it.  Any money you spend on gas and oil will be refunded when you send the receipt to Bob. Hey, there’s plenty of room for more volunteers. If you are interested and can’t make a meeting, email or call Chet for open weeks.

Membership cards with the new gate combination info were passed out. The

members not present were mailed their membership cards and stickers.

Treasurer - Bob Martin reported the finances were in descent shape. At this meeting dues were still coming in. Bob mentioned that the budget is based on having  55 members.

Bob passed around a flyer about an R/C event in Maloela, Oregon on Aug. 20th. WWI and pre WW II aircraft are the theme.

Safety Officer - Randy Turner was not present. Ron reported that safety is always to be primary and of course, this leads to a fun time at the fields. Ron explained the wheel box that Tom had made from 2 x 4’s to hold the plane while starting and idling. Works great, Tom!

Committees – Ron is still seeking someone to help with the alternate field investigation committee.

Anyone who is interested or has leads, please contact Ron.

Field Improvement – Fred Hanquet showed some samples of rock that Ron Beba brought for the gate area and the swampy area of the parking lot. Ron quoted $100 for 14 tons.
