Buzzard Droppings September 2004

Several club members asked about the member’s only access to our web site. Since there are several new members, and some existing members just getting onto the internet for the first time, it is a good time to mention that you need to contact me for setting up your username and password to gain access to the member’s only area. Email or call me and I’ll set up the access for you. You’ll need to select your username and password.

weather is rumored to be cooperating for us. The event is open to all AMA members in good standing. See the flyer on page 5.

On behalf of the club, I thank Joe Goffin for spraying the fence line and moving the pilot stations #2 and #3 to the new agreed locations. Also, Dottie, Randy, Dan and I put the new wind socks up. They may not be in the most ideal location, but it seems to help some. Dale moved the hay bales from the field.

The monthly business meeting of the Barnyard Buzzards Model Airplane Club was called to order by President Ron Swift at the club’s flying field at 7:00PM. Ron introduced the club’s attending officers and asked if there were any visitors.

Ron asked for a motion to approve the July meeting minutes as published in the monthly newsletter. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as published. The Motion passed.

 

Officer’s Reports:

President

Ron stated that he has had several discussions with our landlord regarding a lease and hopes to have a better idea of what can be done soon.

Vice President

Brian stated that the club’s Fun Fly was held and Karl Schaefer gave a report.  There were a few safety issues that arose during the egg drop and he was
