Buzzard Droppings October 2004

Wow, the summer sure passed by pretty quickly again this year! I hope everyone had a chance to fly at the field at least once during the good weather. We had a pretty active club, supporting six events this year. Hopefully, participation from the other local area clubs will increase next year. The last scheduled event is the Swap Meet on October 9th at our field. See the flyer on page 5. Rain or shine, there’ll be bargains for sure,

· Builder’s Competition begins—bring your plans, kits, etc. to the meeting

possibly just the stuff you’ll need for that winter project.

Speaking of projects, the Builder’s Competition is starting as of our October meeting. Be sure to bring your plan, kit, etc. and enter the competition.  Most of us can finish one project in the 8 months we have before judging!

The monthly business meeting of the Barnyard Buzzard’s Model Airplane Club was called to order by President Ron Swift at the club’s flying field at 7:00PM. Ron Swift introduced the club’s attending officers and asked if there were any visitors. There were none present.

Ron asked for a motion to approve the August meeting minutes as published in the monthly newsletter. A

motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as published. The Motion passed.
