Buzzard Droppings November 2004

The weather has changed, but for most of us, clear days are still flying ones. Check out the photos on page 6. I know several others have been out flying as well, I just didn’t get any photos. The photos were from Saturday, October 23, and the weather forecasters said that we would experience rain. High winds, more rain and gusts up to 40 mph. We experienced blue sky, no wind, and even got the field mowed (at least most of it before we ran out of gas…).

One club member said he wished we had some kind of was to know if other club

News Bits:

· The builder’s Competition has started join in the fun!

· Remember to vote before our club meeting on November 2.

· The list of field improvements is being complied. Talk to Joe or any of  the Board members to get your ideas included.

members were out at the field. This is not just a safety issue, but it is more fun for many of the members when there is someone there to swap stories and building horror stories. If you have an idea to share the field in-use information let me know. We had one member suggest a field camera/web page, but I think this kind of surveillance  might not be the best option for the club. Maybe planning ahead and using the phone is still the best technology to use.

Text Box: Meeting Minutes October 5, 2004 — Bob Martin

The monthly business meeting of the Barnyard Buzzard’s Model Airplane Club was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by club president Ron Swift at the Monroe Library. Ron introduced the club’s attending officers and asked if there were any visitors. There were none.

Ron asked for a motion to approve the September meeting minutes as published in the monthly newsletter. A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes as published. The Motion passed.

OFFICER’S REPORTS:

President:

Ron stated the lease for our field is still being worked with the landlord. Ron Swift stated that our Landlord gets upset when he finds planes parts in the hay field.  When he cuts and bails the hay, having plane parts in the bails may cause harm to the animals that eat the hay.  So it becomes very important that
