First thing, this month, I want to thank Karl Schaefer for all the work he did as the club Safety Director. As you know, Karl asked that a new Safety Director be elected to the position this year. His restoration project of a full scale 1947 Piper Super Cruiser, workload at work, and modeling projects are keeping him busy. I selfishly hope Karl will run the Fun Fly again this year because his creativity and management style make the event challenging and fun for those who participate.

Joe, Bob and I did have a chance to go over the planned changes for the flying field with Dale, the owner. Dale liked the proposed changes and made some suggestions of his own. He also mentioned that the rent of the field may be going up. He and two others

Meeting Minutes February 3, 2004 — Bob Martin

President Ron Swift called the monthly meeting of the Barnyard Buzzard Model Airplane Club, Inc to order at 7:00 PM at the Monroe Library.  Ron introduced the attending board members and asked if there were any attending visitors and / or new members.  Visitors present were Forrest Lee and Chet Blake. Chet and Forrest both joined the club after the meeting. Also present was new member, Tim Reeves, who joined 2/1/04.

President Ron Swift asked for a motion to

accept the January meeting minutes as written and published.  A motion was made, seconded, and passed.
