hibits exceptional flight characteristics, ground handling, as well as scale realism... this model is years ahead of its competition.”   He will be missed.

We have a By-Law change proposal that we will be voting on during the December 9th meeting. It is written up in the box to the right.

Nominations for the club officer positions will be open until we vote during the December 9th meeting. Feel free to nominate yourself or other club members for these positions.

Nominations will also be open for the Dave Weber Special Service Award. This should be someone who you feel helped the club and the community through their efforts.

The Holiday season is rapidly approaching, so make sure you make up that special wish list. When the weather permits, charge up your plane and head to the field. Many of us are still flying! Ron

formed of the club’s activities.

AMA has sent the renewal notices for 2004 membership.  Bob reminded all members that they should renew their memberships as soon as they can.  Included with your AMA membership you receive insurance to protect you while you are flying at our field.  Your 2003 AMA membership expires on December 31, 2003, and you can not fly at our field until you have your 2004 AMA card in hand.

Bob also stated that the assigned field mowing list for 2003 is now complete. It is hard to assign a person to mow the field during the rainy season, since the weather is unpredictable and one never knows when the field will be dry enough to mow.  Bob requested that if you are at the field and it is dry and needs mowing, PLEASE mow it..  If you do not have time to mow all of it, mow as much as you can, and the next person there can do the rest..

We have received notice of the 2004 NW Model Exposition at the Western Washington Puyallup Fair Grounds on Jan 31st and Feb 1st 2004. President, Ron Swift, asked for a show of hands for those members who are interested in and would support a club booth. There were at least 10 members who acknowledged they would support the event.  It was decided that the club should again reserve a booth at the fair.

Treasurer, Doug Hoff, gave the treasurer’s report. (All is well.)  Doug also reported that he had received two orders for club jackets and he would submit the order this week.

Karl Schaefer, our safety officer, was not present and no one else had any safety issues to report.

Rick Hanners reported no new sound management readings and that the pilot training program is working well.

Randy Turner reported that he has received no recommendations for  field or runway changes, so everyone must be happy with the present layout..

Bob Martin proposed a Bylaw change that would  remove the term limit for the office of club president. The motion was not seconded so the proposal died.  Bob then introduced a Bylaw change proposal to wave the membership fees for ALL club officers.  This was seconded and will be announced formally and voted on 30 days after written notice to all members.  The planned date for the vote is at the December 9th meeting at Alfy’s..

Then Bob Martin requested a new procedure for renewing membership with the club.  The current new membership application has a hold harmless clause stating that the member will hold harmless the field landlord and the members and officers of the Barnyard Buzzards.  Since some members have been with the club so long, the original application with the hold harmless clause is not in the file.  Ron Swift stated that the hold harmless clause should be re-signed each year.  He also stated that this would also update each member’s address, phone numbers and email addresses. So it was decided that a new application should be comleted by all members when renewing their membership each year.

Bob Martin then discussed the Barnyard Buzzard’s builder’s event.  The event started at the October club meeting.  By the end of the meeting we had 12 members enter kits.  It was decided that members could enter the event at any future club meeting up to the February meeting.  Bob Martin agreed to meet with anyone that wanted
