Thank you to  the members who attended the last meeting for your patience. We took a lot of time to review the budget that Doug and the board were working on.  It is important to understand the club’s resources and what is being planned for them. We have tabled the discussion until this month. We are planning to have a brief closing discussion.  It seems that most of the budget items are understood and that except for wording, we are in alignment.

Meeting Minutes February 2003 — Bob Martin

Text Box: The meeting was called to order at the Monroe Library at 7:00 PM on February 4, 2003 by club president, Ron Swift. The President welcomed all present and asked for a moment of silence to honor the crew of the shuttle Columbia.
He introduced the board members. The minutes of January 2003 were reviewed and approved.
Bob Martin reported on the Puyallup Air Show that was held on February 1st and 2nd. He stated that the club’s booth was on the second floor of the show and few people actually took flyers that were available. The kids enjoyed the flight simulators that we had set up, but he did Text Box: not believe that we would get many new members from the event. He stated that even though he enjoyed the show, he did not see much benefit of the club doing the show next year.
Bob also reported on the AMA membership and insurance. The AMA card expires on 12/31 of the year on the card, and unless the member renewed by that date, the AMA insurance expires also. Even though the club gives the members until March 31st of the following year to renew the club membership, no one should fly until they renew their AMA membership and have insurance
