(President’s Message  Continued from page )

As far as the Spring Cleanup goes,  we had 14 volunteers, who worked from 9:00—1:30. We did have pizza for the few who stayed late. From my feeble memory, I know I saw the following members: Bob Martin, Karl Schaefer, Rick Hanners, Tom Perren, Dick Ovrid, Kim Volz, Jay Wellan, Ray Gilkey, Fred Guiloyle, George Schmidt, Norm Curtis, Steve Webster, and Ron Swift. I apologize for missing anyone.  Many thanks guys! You did a great job!

May 25.  You can see the write-up of the event on page 4.

Dave Bell put on an excellent program at our last meeting covering gliders and launching.  It still amazes me at the skills and experiences of our fellow club members. This month we will have a short program discussing engines,  as part of the club meeting at the field.

We’ve had quite the active month and much progress has been made. Our first flying event of the 2003 season will be our annual Open House on Saturday, June 28. See the ad on page 7. Invite your flying buddies, friends and neighbors. We will have the grill open at noon!

See you at the flying field!

Ron
