mower until the new one could be adjusted.
Treasurer Doug Hoff gave the treasurer’s report and stated
that the rent for the field is due in July.
He also stated that our checking account is an interest bearing
account although our average balance does not generate a lot of interest

Our safety officer was also not present, but several
safety items were discussed. Rick
Hanners stated that the new Field rules were not clear on the way the planes
should be facing while the planes are being started. He made a motion that the wording be
changed to clearly stating that the planes should be facing toward the field

go onto the field and not into the spectators. The motion was seconded and approved.
Bob Martin also stated that pilots should never fly over
the pits or even give any spectator the fear that you may fly over the
pits. If you are having trouble with
flying close to the pits, make your patterns farther away.
Rick Hanners reported that the club’s instructor program
was established. He stated that all
the instructors except one have students that they were working with. (Note, the one who did not, was assigned 3
check-out flights after the meeting.)
Randy Turner was not present, but Ron Swift reported that
there was a meeting earlier that evening with Joe Goffin, Bob Martin, and
himself and a list of field improvements were discussed. These items were then discussed. First, new tables and an acceptable design
