Buzzard
Droppings January 2003

Dave
Weber, Dave Bell and Rick Hanners have been complemented for the sacrifices
and the great job they’ve done over the past number of years. They have set a
pretty high bar for those of us who will assume their positions on the
Barnyard Buzzards Executive Committee.
The
club is in great shape. We do have some things to discuss and the normal club
business to conduct. A motion was made and seconded to have a new membership,
a Junior membership, (Continued on Page 2)

My sincerest thanks to all
the Barnyard Buzzards members for the wonderful gifts and especially to Rick
Hanners for the kind words (I know it's hard to lie in front of a crowd, but
he did it well). I still have a few loose ends to tie up, but I know that
with the excellent start by the new officers, the transition will go
smoothly. Finally, I must say that I'm looking forward to civilian life
again.
Keep your nose up and clean!

Meeting Minutes December 2002 — Rick Hanners
|
The
meeting was called to order shortly after 7:45pm once everyone had their fill
of pizza and drink. Nominations were officially closed and new officers were
voted for. The winners were:
President - Ron Swift
Vice President - Hap Shutz
Secretary - Bob Martin
Treasurer - Doug Hoff
|
Safety Officer - Karl Schaefer
In addition, a vote on a possible new name for
the newsletter was conducted. After the votes were all tallied, the
membership present voted to maintain the present Newsletter name.
Ron
Swift brought up a motion that the club should establish a special membership
fee of $15 for any student. As this was a fairly complex issue, the motion
was tabled and will be brought up at the January meeting. The membership
