Text Box: The club continues to grow. Yes, we are still adding new members to our ranks even as the season starts to wind down. Thanks to the efforts of all of your recruiting efforts we have added over 10 new members just this year alone and I know that there are still a few more potential new members looking at joining us. With all of these new members I would like to remind all of the “old timers” to take a moment when they see a new face out at the field and introduce yourself. This will help keep club moral high by making the new members feel welcome.
It seems as if the summer has Text Box: gone by faster than ever. We are now looking at the fall season just around the corner and close behind it winter. This will mean that the club meetings will be heading indoors.
September’s meeting is still tentatively scheduled to be at the field, but if the weather turns bad on us we will be forced to head to the PUD building once again. We will definitely be having the remainder of the fall and winter meetings at the PUD meeting, with the one exception—our annual pizza fest in December will be held at Alfy’s in shapes="_x0000_s1027">

Meeting Minutes August 2002 — Rick Hanners

Text Box: The meeting was called to order at about 7pm after an excellent cook out run by Dave Weber. Dave had reported previously that the landlord had mentioned his brother was looking to sell about 50 acres of land, with the lots being 10 acres minimum. Dave has attempted to contact the brother with the intention of looking into the possibility of the club purchasing some of the land. The land can only be used for farming Text Box: and can not have houses built on it. The club did not know if the AMA would help with financing or not. It was decided by general consensus that we need to first get some details about the land before thinking about financing.
The issue of the old lawn mower was once again brought up. By a majority vote, it was decided to sell it for whatever we can.
