Text Box: Fall is here and so ends another season for the Buzzards.  Looking back I would say that we have had one of the more successful years since we have moved to our new field.  Our membership is up, we had several successful events, but most of all there weren’t any major accidents or safety violations to deal with.  I would like to thank all of the membership for that, keep it up.
Just because the rain has returned doesn’t mean that there isn’t any good flying left.  If you recall last year Rick Hanners sponsored a year round flying “club” to get members to show up and fly at Text Box: least once every month.  I know that Rick succeeded in getting his patch from the AMA, so maybe this year a few more of you will try.  Fortunately for us living in the Pacific North “Wet”, we have very mild winter weather that allows for year round flying.

Meeting Minutes September 2002 — Rick Hanners

Text Box: The meeting was called to order at about 7:00 PM.  There were only 7 members present and one guest.  Rick Hanners reported that the new mower was ready to go, but was still over at Dick Ovrid's House due to the fact that Dave Weber and Dick just have not connected.   One suggestion was to leave the mower out at the field for now till spring came, but Dave Weber was still planning on trying to sell it.
Text Box: Doug Hoff was taking orders for club jackets.   He already had 1 order and 4 more people spoke up that they also would like to order.  So, it was decided to extend the ordering process up to the October meeting.  Doug suggested to bring money to pay for your jacket when you order one.  Cost is going to run about $80.
