not have a raffle as in the past.  Instead we will provide information about the club as well as the usual videos and flight simulator.  Volunteers to man the booth to talk to fellow modelers will still be needed.

The club guest policy was discussed.  It was unclear if the policy stated in the safety rules was actually hung on the shed.  Rick Hanners was going to check that out and provide copies of the Safety/Field Rules inside the shed.  Copies of a new grievance form will also be available out in the shed.  There was also a rather lengthy discussion about how to identify members, guests and the use of the frequency board.  No consensus was reached and the board will be looking into the issues and make a recommendation at the November meeting.

It was decided that a list of possible replacement names for the Newsletter would be voted on at the December meeting.  At the present time the list has a large number of alternatives, so it was agreed that there would be a first vote to choose the top three names and then a final vote among the 3 finalists.

A discussion about the present meeting place followed.  The new library was

members and the general public.

Another change is how the regulation (yes I said regulation) of frequencies are going to change in the near future.  As a result of the increase in our club ranks we are seeing more people out at the field and for many reasons, the most important being safety, we are going to ask and require that the frequency board be used at all times when you are flying.  The officers are taking steps to make this a much simpler process which will help reduce confusion and increase the usability of the frequency control system.  A new frequency board is in development and when this is available for use,

brought up as a possible new site.  This would alleviate having to get the key to the PUD meeting room the day of the meeting.  The club officers were to look into the possibility of moving the meeting to the Monroe Library and let the membership know of any possible changes.

Nominations for club officers was started.  To date the following members have been nominated:

President - Ron Swift

Vice President - Hap Shutz, Dean Appell

Secretary - Bob Martin

Treasurer - Doug Hoff

Safety Officer - Karl Schaefer

Nominations are still open and will be closed at the December meeting and then a vote taken for the officers.

Ron Swift brought up a possible fun-fly training session for the boy scouts to take place November 3rd.  This was tentative and if it were to happen, Ron was going to send out a notice to ask for help.

The meeting was then adjourned.

we will again make all members aware of the change and the new rules that will accompany it.

I hope to see all of you at the pizza meeting in December which will be held the second Tuesday of the month (December 12th) at Alfy’s Pizza in Monroe.  We will again be giving out door prizes and for the first time vote on the Club Member of the Year.

Until next time…Keep your nose up and clean!
