  • Wire the muffler to the fuselage so it can't get lost should it come loose.
  • Do not bottom out the high speed carb adjustment needle when installing it. (Don't bottom out the low speed one either) Forcing these needles into their seats will cause the metal to distort and the engine will always be tricky to adjust.
  • Verify that the carb is sealed to the case (no air leaks)
  • Use silicone sealant (such as GE RTV) around the fuel tank stopper to seal the tank.
  • Seal the fuel tubing joints with wire or an additional piece of same size fuel tubing.
  • Enlarge (or grind one) the slot in the fuel tank clunk.
  • Make sure the clunk is about 3/8-inch shorter than the end of the fuel tank and that it can move freely around the end of the tank as the tank is rotated 360 degrees.
  • Use foam to isolate the tank from engine vibration. If there is no room for foam, put 6 drops of WD40 into the tank (it will float on top

The new table top project had been put on hold till the mower issue was sort of resolved.  Now that another mower has been acquired, Dave Weber is going to get that particular project moving again.  Dave further reported that the landlord told him that no Scout campout is going to take place on his property.
Another call for a cell phone was asked of the members.  A cell phone will still dial 911 and so we would like to keep one in the shed for emergencies. Bob Martin or Ron Draugh possibly have one to donate.  Dave Weber was going to verify the address of the field so it will be put in the container with the cell phone.  About a week later, Bob Martin donated a used phone and Rick Hanners was checking it out for proper operation.  He will install it at the field as soon as he can.
The Fun Fly date was confirmed as July 20th with the 21st as a rain date. It is open
