The original poster can be viewed here... Ah, yes, what would the Barnyard Buzzards Open House be like without having the traditional rain? Well, it did start off that way, but by 10:00 AM, the rain had stopped and the cloud cover was so high, that flying was possible. In a way, it was nice not to have to get the sun block out. It was a little cool starting out, but what little breezes we had went straight down the runway from the West. By afternoon, the blue sky was showing and it was perfect in every way for flying. For those who showed up, there was plenty of flying... And Dave put on a really good lunch for $2.50! Here's some photos:

In the background you can see president, Dave Weber's camper. The day started off with Dave's free coffee, while we waited for the rain to stop. Rick Hanners, club secretary, got the first flight of the event, flying his Zagi. He is seen here helping to set up one of the planes. |

A view of the field shows the early morning clouds, but we're having fun. |

Dave Weber and Rick Hanners are chasing each other flying their Zagis. They even had a brief midair collision, but no harm done... The planes kept flying. |

Dick Ovrid was on site helping many of us and actually got to fly some. |

Another successful flight. Really colorful covering on this plane made it easy to see. |

Newsletter editor, Ron Swift brought a Big Hots powered by a Tartan SuperTwin Glow, RFB 600 FanTrainer powered by a Webra Speed 50 and a Hangar 9 UltraStick40 powered by a Morris Hobbies 53 on a tuned pipe. He also had an AirMaster40 with a Fuji 40 mounted inverted that wasn't flown. |
