Field Work Party April 10 2004

April 10, 2004

	Joe Goffin lead a crew of nearly a dozen members on the crusade to put the finishing touches on the Spring Field Improvements. We started at 9:00AM and the weather was just perfect!
	Jim and others helped with cutting new lumber for the fence to help strengthen it. Now for those who want to lean on or stand on the rails, we should be OK.
	Meanwhile, the storage shed gets a new coat of paint...
	Yee HA! Not quite the storage area we had in mind, but a new coat of paint didn't hurt this unit either.
	Meanwhile back on the shed...
	Yes, we meant the back of the shed!
	Bob and Joe previously tilled the new area of the runway. Jay, Jim, and Ron raked the area. Then the area was rolled and seeded and rolled again. The runway was mowed and rolled. The grass cuttings were swept onto the new grass seed to help hold the moisture and keep the birds away from the seed.
	The finished product... Come on out and check it out. We shared some pizza and beverages and the work was finished pretty quickly.
	Yep, we even got some flying in.
