ElectricMotors

Practical electric motors for model airplanes have arrived relatively recently. Available motors for Radio Control flight range from tiny elf motors to huge rare earth magnet stepper motors running 30 or more cells.
As technology continues to develop high output, lighter weight cells, and as motor efficiencies increased, electric flight becames more affordable and more practical.
The fairly recent electric school yard and indoor models have helped to make Radio Control more available than ever.
