The elevons were cut out as indicated in the instructions. Clear cellophane tape is used to hinge the surfaces after they were sanded to shape. The surfaces were cut out before the vertical stabilizers were installed, a change from the instructions. |

The electric motors were installed next. These must be installed parallel to each other with the installed propellers centered in the airframe cutouts. |

The radio gear was assembled and tested before mounting them into the model. The motors were connected to the Electronic Speed Control (esc). They sounded really powerful (standing waves and propeller noise) and moved lots of air using the 7 cell nicads. We won't need all this power for normal indoor flying for sure! The elevon mixing was set up with the servos connected to the DAD Tetra receiver. |
